My Journey to Natural Hair Care
I’m Jelene, founder of Floyd Dells Natural Products. My journey began in a small town in Alabama, where I was the sixth of seven children. Growing up, hair care was a family tradition—pressing for special occasions, and later, chemical relaxers that promised sleekness but quietly stole our strength.
At 16, I started using relaxers and continued for nearly 30 years. Over time, I noticed my hair thinning. That shift sparked a deeper curiosity—and what I discovered changed everything.
Through relentless research, I uncovered the hidden dangers behind chemical hair treatments, their links to fibroids, cancer, and other health issues. It felt like surviving an invisible crisis. That moment pushed me to reclaim my wellness and rebuild trust—not with chemicals, but with nature.
I began studying natural ingredients obsessively. Weekends, late nights, after work—I became my own researcher, my own healer. I tested everything on myself first, and slowly, I saw my hair regain its strength and vitality. With every strand that grew back, my passion grew too.

She had always supported my vision. She longed to try the products I created but never had the chance. In honor of her spirit, her strength, and the love she poured into our family, I renamed the company to Floyd Dells Natural Products—a tribute not just to a name, but to a legacy of care. Every product I make, market, and share is in remembrance of her:
